About the program
This program allows you to work with Events related to specimens, showing lists of plants and their specimens to make it easy for the user to see an overview of Tasks “Todo”, to show Events which have happened e.g. Tasks completed.
Unlike the Tasks program, you have an overview of items “Todo” for easily selected lists of specimens e.g. by Garden Area.
Specimens in a list may be related to multiple tasks.

Example: You can create a Garden Area called “Seeds - 2024”, add seeds you have purchased and then monitor the progress as Seed is due to be Sown, record the Germination dates, the Potting dates etc.

Even though the program ties in closely with the Tasks program, the User can record any Event not related to a Task.

If you have used the Tasks - GA647 program to add tasks for specimens then those plants with their specimens will be listed when you select the appropriate Garden Area.

Note that if a specimen is associated with a Task which has multiple dates, then the FIRST outstanding task date will be displayed.

BE VERY AWARE that if you record the first Todo task date as Done, then the NEXT task Todo date is displayed for that specimen.

The Apply this event button
This button allows the selected Event to be applied to the selected specimen.
Events can be added using the program Plant Care Classifications - GA611 found under the Setup tab on the menu.

Warning: When you click on a specimen which has an outstanding Task ToDo, the Events pop-up automatically changes to the Done event for that task. This is to avoid mistakes.
You can change this setting if you wish to record another event for the specimen.

The Undo button
This button appears ONLY after you apply an event to a specimen.
If you apply an event by mistake, then use this button to reverse the action.
The Undo button will apply:

  • for the most recent Apply action ONLY.
  • Until you close the program
